Committees Make Everything Shine.

Committees are always recruiting new members, and you can join any of them. How much time you volunteer is up to you. Committees

  • The committee is responsible for promoting social justice initiatives within and beyond the organization, including the removal of practices and policies that have disparate impacts on minoritized groups. Their aim is to make transformative efforts through the facilitation of training, dissemination of resources, survey of and collaboration with stakeholders, and community-building opportunities across all levels of ACBS and beyond.

  • This Committee shall be responsible for securing and reviewing evidence concerning the membership qualifications of all candidates for membership or changes of membership status. The committee will organize events to reach new community members and facilitate networking and connections among existing members.

  • The committee is responsible for developing, updating, and monitoring outgoing communications to the Chapter at large. This includes the upkeep of social media accounts, updates to the website, and the creation of newsletters for the Chapter.

  • The committee is tasked with developing, disseminating, and evaluating CBS-related training that is of high quality and consistent with the values and ideals of the ACBS Trainers’ Agreement. This includes identifying CBS and related training needs of MAC region members and non-members, providing support, and facilitating CBS training activities by identifying appropriate trainers, applying for CE sponsorship, managing registration, and coordinating logistics of each training.
